This Hyundai S240 engine was built by Hyundai as a factory modified version of its S270 engine, and is rated for continuous duty at full throttle (not that you would necessarily want to do that -- but you could!).

The Hyundai V6 diesel engine block is constructed from Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) which Hyundai reports to be lighter and quieter than conventional grey cast iron, while demonstrating much higher tensile strength, stiffness and fatigue strength than steel or aluminum.

This is really a terrific engine -- not well-known in the US yet, but very popular and well-regarded elsewhere for its quiet, smooth operation, reliable long-life performance even in commercial applications, and design for straightforward servicing.

Whisper Power M-SC 3.5 generator in sound enclosure. Located in lazarette for quiet. Exhaust/water separator further reduces noise while in operation.

Bridge clearance with the radar arch folded back is under 12'. With the arch in its raised position the clearance to the top of the masthead light is 16'4".

Hull is infused glass reinforced plastic with PVC foam coring in the hull sides. Coring in deck and superstructure is PVC foam.

Optional cockpit hardtop cover, with stainless steel framed opening hatch at the top of the flybridge ladder.

DOMESTIC SYSTEMS: six gallon Seawarrd hot water heater, Dometic Masterflush head with macerator pump, hot and cold cockpit shower on deck, reverse cycle heat/air -- two units with climate controls in salon and in stateroom, LED overhead and reading lights, wood Interior blinds.

SALON: L-shaped settee with storage beneath. Leather upholstery. Dining table with compass rose inlay and folding leaves drops down to convert settee to double berth.

WINDOWS: Aluminum-framed windows -- opening center windshield window, opening side windows (2) and aft window, all with screens, opening stateroom overhead hatch (24") with Oceanair screen / blind, stainless steel portlights (4) with screens.

INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION FEATURES: Louvered cabinet drawers for interior ventilation, well-placed handholds and fiddles, teak solids and veneers throughout, removable ceiling panels, thick sound insulation beneath floor reduces engine noise. hand-applied hand-rubbed varnish finishes.
